Why not consider putting out some natural nesting material for your birds – they’ll put on a great show for you!  Enjoy all the action as they busily move about pulling small beak full of soft material out of the basket, then returning to construct their nests. Cavity nesting species seem to be especially attracted to this soft, warming material.

These reusable baskets are stuffed with alpaca hair, a natural material that is ideal to put out since alpaca fiber wicks water, dries quickly, and most important, insulates nests well. The fiber does not tangle around bills or feet as string or twine might.

The cage measures 4-3/4″ wide  x 5-1/4″ high  x 1-3/4″ deep and is filled with 1 oz of alpaca fiber. It is made of coated wire to handle years of exposure.  Color of fiber varies. Refills available.
